I Love You Kit-tee

This little girl loves her kitties. Look at this big hug!

Which brings me to words Stella says:

cat (8 months - said it for a few weeks then stopped)

bye-bye (10 months)

hi, Da-da (naming daddy, not just a sound), bird (silent 'd') 11 months

kitty (first true 2 syllable word), ball (silent 'll'), more (mo'), day-dee (for baby), and most recently, Mama (naming me, not just a vocalization) around 13 months.

A Walk Around the Lake with Jen and Finley

We took full advantage of the great weather with 2 days in a row of long walks with Jen and Finley. Finley loves her backpack!

Dining Al Fresco

It is such a treat to pull the high chair out into the fresh air and enjoy the beautiful weather and a meal. We have slowly been finishing the interior of the porch...walls, ceiling, carpeting, and porch furniture needed!

Two Girls in Hats

What a beautiful week! The weather was perfect: sunny and warm with low humidity. Holly, Stella and I had some nice walks this week.

New Bathtub

Stella was getting awfully cramped in her tub, but the thought of cleaning our big bath tub every night or so to prep for bath time was not very appealing (Mommy has some clean tub issues...I always have to scrub the tub down before taking a bath); so I was pretty excited when I saw this tub. Stella had her first bath in it last night after watching me fill it with air...she was excited too!

Long Bangs

Stella's bangs have started hanging down in her eyes, so I bought some barrettes to try. These are very cute (we got a few different colors); unfortunately, once found by little hands the barrette was immediately removed. About an hour after this picture was taken, I had to take the barrette away because she had put the whole thing in her mouth! Oh well, it looked good.

Night-Night Time with Grey Kitty

For her birthday, Daddy gave Stella a babydoll and this grey kitty both of which she loves. She gives them both sweet, tight hugs and likes to cuddle up with one of them at bedtime. For quite a few months now, Sean and I have been enjoying the fact that Stella goes to bed about 8PM; yay! More time for our violent shows, uninterrupted computer time, and, recently, evening gardening.

Papaw

We went to Annapolis with Papaw; Stella had her first motorized boat ride as we took a little tour of the harbor. We also had lunch and did a little walking around the Naval Academy grounds. The rain held off and we had a lovely day.
